Welcome to Tru Identity Photography+Designs

My name is Stefani Peterson, I am the lead photographer and owner of Tru Identity Photography+Designs.

I began Tru Identity in 2008, kind of by accident... I was a dance/drill team director and first grade teacher for three years when I decided to pursue my dream of becoming a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader. I made the team and decided to put teaching aside (I could always go back to it) while I embraced this amazing opportunity of being a DCC. During this time, I bought my first Canon camera, learned the ins-and-outs of photography and shooting in manual, and started photographing anything and everything (and everyone) that would let me. And as they say, the rest is history!

Justin & Jennifer’s E-session in Dallas

I have known Justin and Jennifer for about 5 years now… I actually knew them separately before I knew them together. I danced with Jennifer on the Dallas Desperados Dancers, the Dallas Desperados arena football league’s dance team, and I knew Justin threw my husband (boyfriend at the time). Little did they know their first meeting would be at my wedding! Yes, I try to take credit for itBut, in reality though, they did not talk much that night and would later meet again at an event Fellowship Church was hosting… I think paint-balling was involved?.?.?

Now the couple, a year and a half later, is happily engaged and getting married in April! Yay! I was sooo honored when they asked me to be the photographer… Ummm, ofcourse! I feel like I have seen their relationship come full circle and can not wait to capture their wedding.
