Tru Identity Photography Blog bio picture
  • Welcome to Tru Identity Photography+Designs

My name is Stefani Peterson, I am the lead photographer and owner of Tru Identity Photography+Designs.

I began Tru Identity in 2008, kind of by accident... I was a dance/drill team director and first grade teacher for three years when I decided to pursue my dream of becoming a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader. I made the team and decided to put teaching aside (I could always go back to it) while I embraced this amazing opportunity of being a DCC. During this time, I bought my first Canon camera, learned the ins-and-outs of photography and shooting in manual, and started photographing anything and everything (and everyone) that would let me. And as they say, the rest is history!

I love getting to know my clients and sharing in their special events! If you would like to talk further about your wedding photography or special event that needs to be remembered, feel free to shoot me an email by clicking the Contact link above.

    Thank you!
    Stefani

Cory & Sharon’s Engagement session

Now that Spring Break has come and gone, it’s time to catch up on the blog…

After getting lost in the crazy one way streets of Dallas, Cory, Sharon and I roamed all over Deep Ellum! I just love shooting there with all the color and versatility, there are sooo many possibilities! When Cory said he wanted graffiti, I knew Deep Ellum was our place. Cory and Sharon were so much fun and put up  with my crazy ideas when some creativity started to flow, THANKS (ya’ll are awesome clients)! I love it when my clients get relaxed and throw in creativity too, then the great shots really come! They were natural with the posing and really just did their thing, not to mention look so great together, so taking their photo was EeeZZZ! ”Actually, they turned out pretty good! haha! What a surprise”….(who says that??)- That was for you Cory & Sharon! Thanks for putting up with me:)
