Tru Identity Photography Blog bio picture
  • Welcome to Tru Identity Photography+Designs

My name is Stefani Peterson, I am the lead photographer and owner of Tru Identity Photography+Designs.

I began Tru Identity in 2008, kind of by accident... I was a dance/drill team director and first grade teacher for three years when I decided to pursue my dream of becoming a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader. I made the team and decided to put teaching aside (I could always go back to it) while I embraced this amazing opportunity of being a DCC. During this time, I bought my first Canon camera, learned the ins-and-outs of photography and shooting in manual, and started photographing anything and everything (and everyone) that would let me. And as they say, the rest is history!

I love getting to know my clients and sharing in their special events! If you would like to talk further about your wedding photography or special event that needs to be remembered, feel free to shoot me an email by clicking the Contact link above.

    Thank you!
    Stefani

Nicole’s Bridals at the Las Colinas Canals

No two bridal sessions are ever the same! I love talking with the bride and getting an idea of what her dress looks like, how her hair will be, jewelry, props, shoes, etc. and deciding on a fitting location is key. It should all come together and in your photos everything should look cohesive. Some brides want a natural look, fields, tall grass, vintage/antique … some what a clean classic look, gardens, stone paths, columns… every one is different and suited for the bride and their wedding style. I encourage my brides to give me as much information as possible to make sure we don’t have any clashing styles… you wouldn’t want to to a bridal shoot in the Stockyards or railroad tracks wearing your ball-gown style wedding dress and 4 inch heels…

Nicole’s bridals were definetly one of class and beauty. Make up was perfectly done by  Trish at Allure Make Up Designs and not a hair was out of place. The Canals at Las Colinas made the perfect clean classic backdrop for Nicole’s dress and ensemble. Nicole wore a gorgeous Maggie Sottero gown, fit for a Princess! AND I must say, everything looked stunning and elegantly tied together at their wedding at The Piazza in Colleyville last month… I can’t wait to show off the wedding photos!

Until then, enjoy Nicole’s timeless bridals…
