Welcome to Tru Identity Photography+Designs

My name is Stefani Peterson, I am the lead photographer and owner of Tru Identity Photography+Designs.

I began Tru Identity in 2008, kind of by accident... I was a dance/drill team director and first grade teacher for three years when I decided to pursue my dream of becoming a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader. I made the team and decided to put teaching aside (I could always go back to it) while I embraced this amazing opportunity of being a DCC. During this time, I bought my first Canon camera, learned the ins-and-outs of photography and shooting in manual, and started photographing anything and everything (and everyone) that would let me. And as they say, the rest is history!

Evy’s Dallas Bridals at Jester Park and White Rock Lake

Evy and Jason were married in June and I am sooo excited to release her bridals as they were one I had been looking forward to shooting for a while. From talking to Evy, I knew Evy and Jason were planning a vintage / antique styled wedding and wanted that to come across in her photos as well… I played a little more than usual with layers and coloring in her photos to try to give the “antiqued” feel. I just LOVE the natural look of her dress (it has pockets!!), hair, and make up, and was soooo beautifully complimented by the park and the lake (sigh!)… I think the lake and field is the epitome of peace for me… maybe that’s why I’m such a fan

Also, can I just say I LOVE PROPS!! and below you’ll see why… be creative and have fun, take a chance! You don’t have to use the prop in every photo but in a couple is fun. It makes your shoot so much more fun and meaningful.
