Okay, so you just booked a photo session… now what???
1) If a location has not been decided, do that first! I prefer outdoors (as I am a natural light photographer). Think simple backgrounds like lakes, ponds, parks, railroad tracks, bridges, trees, old buildings, trains, etc. What ever fits your personality!! Don’t do a shoot in Dallas if you live on a farm. Pick somewhere that is you!! Even the simplest of places can make the BEST photo locations.
I prefer to shoot early morning or late afternoon/ evening for the best light.

2) Clothing and fashion choice & PROPS! This can have a lot of weigh on the look and feel of how you photos look. See our “What Not To Wear” page about fashion advice/recommendations for your photo shoot. Also, feel free to bring props or something fun you BOTH love that would be cool in your pics (example: bikes, pets, boots, sports equipment, children- if you have them and would like them included 
, a colorful umbrella, ‘Thank You’ written on a poster board to send to wedding guests… anything)
3)$Payment$. All payment must be received at the time of the session (usually paid right after the session is complete). For my own safety, I will not edit photos until payment is received.
4) Shoot the session. Each session is about one hour give or take depending on if it’s a child session, family, engagement, bridal, maternity, etc. Engagements and Bridals usually last about 2 hours and we can go to 2 locations within 10 minutes of each other, and have 2 optional clothing changes (casual and formal). I will do my best to help coach and make the session as relaxing and fun for you as possible. These are YOUR photos and I want you to look great in them 
so RELAX!
5) Posing and positioning. I love it when clients let me go crazy and give direction for posing! With that in mind I usually try to keep an extra towel or blanket in my car for you to sit or lay on. If you are not up to what I ask, then come with some suggestions ideas as well. That is completely fine! I love trying out new stuff and getting shots that my couple will LOVE, but also keeps you relaxed and fits your personalities.
6) Session is Done! We say our thank you’s… I have your information and you have mine. Your photos are usually edited and up for review within 2 weeks of the session date. I will edit some photos, if you buy the cd you will get some edited and the unedited for you to play with and/ or share/ duplicate… whatever you want AND copyright IS released to you!!
7) Your photos!! Here is the approximate photo count for each session so you know what to expect…
Maternity, Family, Child, Personal: estimated 20 edited images
Bridal and Engagements: estimated 50 edited images
Wedding: estimated 400 edited & unedited images
Edited means any vignetting, blurring, sharpening, facial smoothing, leveling, exposing, and any special actions or layers including black/ white or sepia effects.
Unedited means they might have been sharpened or level adjusted but pretty much as it comes out of my camera.
EDITING- I pick the images to edit, leaving a good variety for you to choose from, and I edit those. You can ask me to “Re-Edit” two photos of your choice. This means adding vignetting, blurring, black and white, layering, ect. Beyond the two, there is a $10 per photo ReEditing charge for photos you want edited a different way or to edit one that I did not choose. I want customers to be satisfied but at the same time continue a high workflow and meeting the needs of ALL clients.
- “Raw” image- right out of the camera
"Unedited" image- cropped and sharpened
"Edited" image- added blur, vignette, and retouch

8. How do I get my pics? If you bought the cd, the cd will be mailed to you after the images are posted. If you are buying prints you can order directly from my Proof and Order company online (see the website)…. easy cheesy! If you have special order prints like; canvases, texture prints, cards, etc. Contact Stefani at stefani@truidentitydesigns.com to discuss how we can order those for you.
