It had snowed pretty bad the day before but on shoot day the weather turned nice and melted most of the snow… well, apparently NOT in McKinney… It was just barely above freezing and the Cotton Mill has no heat, awesome! (sarcasm)… We did get lucky though and the Mill had been about to set up for a wedding and reception in the main ballroom and we were able to use the beautiful sheer tulle and lights to add some dimension to Karen’s photos. One of Karen’s main reasons for wanting to shoot at the Mill was the funky green couch they have upstairs, well (and another downer, sorry) it looked like it had been sat on one too many times. The bottom of the couch had pretty much fallen out (sad face)… So when you get to the green couch photos below make sure appreciate Karen’s patience and body strength to ‘fake it’ and hold herself up! And pay  your homage to the green couch… may it rest in peace… Ok enough about the venue, here is Karen! Love her red hair, blue eyes, and dimples! Not to mention a fabulous dress, love the bodice and beading. You’re a gorgeous lady!

Thank you Karen for being so beautiful and awesome and not complaining! I think your photos were worth your feet turning blue, lol!

Karen & Scot were married March 5, 2011 in Dallas at Oaklawn UMC and their reception was at Arlington Hall. Photos coming soon!

She is so beautiful and photogenic! We photographed her bridals at the bridal shoot hotspot The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden on White Rock Lake. It makes such a gorgeous and classic backdrop for brides. I pushed some of my artistic boundaries when editing and think I got some beautiful stuff. And if you know me, you know I’m obsessed with eyes and her baby blues are mesmerizing!! Such a beautiful bride :) ENJOY!

Betsy and Sunil are married! So that means I get to release her bridals we shot at the fabulous Fairmont Hotel in Downtown Dallas… which was also the wedding location. She was absolutely striking! Every detail from her red hair pinned up to her fabulous gold shoes all worked perfectly together and photographed like a DREAM! I think this was one of the more fashionable/artistic bridal shoots I have done… being as we were indoors which allowed me to use my own lighting…And I loved it!! The challenge, and yet freedom, of working with your own lighting combined with a great location, released my imagination… I think we covered the entire hotel!

Without further delay… the beautiful Betsy Bolton! (now Mrs. Patel!)
