Well, Hello! It’s been a while…

Hello Mr. Blog,

It’s been a while…I apologize for not showing you photography love in a very long time. Things have been very busy around here. What’s going on? I never thought you’d ask…

Joe and I moved in to a new home!! Yay! It’s gorgeous. Well, now it is gorgeous… or getting there… It was a foreclosure when we bought it, so, needless to say it needed quite a bit of love (and… new carpet and paint). The kitchen is a mess, very 90’s, but we’ll remodel in December. AND, last but not least it has a POOL!! A gorgeous pool too with a hot tub, which we already heated up several times since we moved in. Overall, hopefully this house is a keeper… since I married Joe (he’s a realtor) we’ve lived in 3 houses in 3 years… I have a feeling about this one though 😉

Yes Mr. Blog, The business is going very well! I know you can’t tell right now because I don’t have as much free time to visit like I used to, but come December/January when business slows some you’ll be numero uno on my things to show love!! Literally… show love… get it? photographs.. ‘show’  love… like “see” it/ show it… Bah haha ha! Bad joke, I know….

And last but NOT least Joe and I celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary! If you didn’t know, each anniversary you are supposed to give a gift of a certain material or has something to do with the material… 1st anniversary- paper, 2nd anniversary- cotton, 3rd anniversary- leather, etc. I googled some fun 3rd year gifts and came up with the idea to give Joe tickets to a Mavs game… I think the basketball is leather, right? I can’t afford Cowboys since I don’t get them free anymore 🙁 For his gift to me, I have to explain… I decided after many grooling months of debating and deliberations that in order for me to feel comfortable and be the professional photographer I want to be seen as, I needed to have a nice office space I could bring clients to… show my work, albums, canvases, view proofs, place orders, etc. Starbucks would no longer suffice as an appropriate meeting spot. I had been looking around but since my hubby is a realtor I released control to him. He knew what I wanted and the location I was looking in. On our anniversary, there was a little Coach box in his truck…. I love Coach but it was WAAYY too small for a purse or even a gift card. A little bewildered, I opened the box to see…… a key chain?!?! I was very confused, Joe ALWAYS gives me a hard time because my keychains are so big and clunky, I have every key, grocery store, movie rental, tanning salon tag from the last 5 years on this thing, why would he want to ADD to it??? Well, after I picked up with cute brown C’d wallet keychain, it had a key on it 🙂 which after asking “a key to our home?” he said “no, your new office”…AAWWWWW! I know! So I have an office!! That, once decorated and fixed up with all my gorgeous clients photos plastered on the walls, would love to have people out to see!

Well that’s about it, Mr. Blog. It was nice chatting… thanks for listening and being so understanding 🙂

More LOVE to come
